For many patients, their clinical condition does not allow them to travel to their oncology consultations as often as their condition requires. These circumstances could be due to an advanced neoplastic disease (tumour) deteriorating or the toxic effects caused by anti-cancer drugs. In these cases, our team will travel to your home to give you medical care if you so require. Our palliative care specialists will provide the same medical care that you would receive at our centre in your home: they will check your symptoms, control them with medicine and, only when strictly necessary, assess if you need to be taken to our emergency ward.
The final stages of cancer can be extremely tough, particularly without support from a specially qualified team. Our palliative care professionals will help you through the last stage of cancer with the sensitivity and skills required for dealing with these delicate circumstances which are difficult for everyone.
