Health care professional dedicated to Psycho-oncology since 1998. She received specialised training at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and completed her doctorate at the University of Valencia.
She is a Specialist in Psychotherapy certified by the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA). She currently exercises her main professional activity at the Psychology Unit of the Valencian Institute of Oncology (IVO, Instituto Valenciano de Oncología) foundation. Part of her work has been dedicated to teaching at the University of Valencia, the Catholic University of Valencia, and the European University of Valencia.
She has conducted research in the field of Psycho-oncology promoting psychotherapies that improve quality of life, coping, and mood during and after oncological illness. In addition, she has researched the handling of family situations and the support of family members. She is integrated in the medical team with a view to facilitate the patient’s better adaptation to the disease process. She is a member of the Spanish Society of Psycho-Oncology (SEPO, Sociedad Española de Psicooncología) since 1999.
