Dr Juan García Prieto, born in Valencia in 1972, read Medicine and Surgery at the University of Valencia and graduated in 1997. He specialised in Family and Community Medicine at Albacete General Hospital until 2003.
He also completed a Master's in Palliative Care and Clinical approach to pain at the University of Valladolid in 2008. In 2017, he obtained a Master's in Clinical Management at the University CEU San Pablo.
Since 2003, he has practised in the area of Palliative Medicine and Care for patients with terminal diseases. In 2007, he became part of our Oncology Team, managing the Hospital Admissions unit.
In 2006, he became part of the Hospital Admissions to Home Care Unit at Valencia's General Hospital and the Ongoing Care Unit at the Mislata Military Hospital, moving to the Emergency Department at Manises Hospital in 2009 where he continues to be Department Manager.
He has vast experience in care and initial approach to Oncology patients and Oncological Emergencies and provides training on Oncological Emergencies and Terminal Patient Care.
He is a member of the Spanish and Valencian Society of Palliative Medicine.
