The second area is molecular biology applying his knowledge in developing and selecting new drugs in clinical trials. Translational research therefore completes this area of interest. The third area is identifying and handling hereditary cancer syndromes, which is closely related with the first and second areas.
He undertook his Medical Oncology residency at the Valencian Oncology Institute, which he subsequently completed with the institution's hereditary cancer unit development and visiting MD Anderson Cancer Centre in Houston, where he broadened his knowledge in gynaecological cancer treatment.
He belongs to the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology, the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and is a member of the Executive Board of the gynaecological cancer research group (GEICO). He has presented oral communications in ESMO and several communications in the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
